Regret, we’ve all experienced it. Whether it’s from an extravagant purchase, some harsh words, or not saying anything at all, it’s an emotion we’ve all had to deal with.

AC Milan are certainly a club that’s full of regret at this moment in time. The decision they wish they hadn’t made; selling Patrick Cutrone to Wolves.

The striker departed the San Siro this summer when the Serie A club decided he was surplus to requirements, with Wolves paying £16m to make a move happen.

He’s since earned plenty of love at Molineux, despite managing just one goal in ten games, and Milan are now looking longingly at what they once had.

According to Pianeta Milan, Cutrone’s ‘absence begins to be felt’ with them saying that ‘the first regrets among the fans are starting to appear.’

That’s because they think Cutrone would have added something to a Milan side that’s only managed two goals in their first four games.

Pianeta continue to add to the idea that Milan are regretting selling Cutrone to Wolves, adding that maybe it ‘would have been better to think twice before saying goodbye.’

They’re not the only ones to think it either. The website also interviewed former Milan player Gianluigi Lentini, and he was also of the mind that selling the forward was a mistake for the Italians.

“I wouldn’t have sold him because Cutrone is a player that could be useful,” he told the website.

“He knew his place and had no pretence whatsoever. I would have kept him.”
