Greek club Olympiacos have signed the West Ham youngster Kristijan Belic on deadline day, according to the player’s Instagram post.
The 18 year old joined the Hammers from his boyhood club OFK Belgrad in 2016 and he’s played in West Ham’s academy for the three years he’s been in England.
Belic announced on social media he’s joined the Greek club and he thanked the West Ham coaching staff.
According to Phile News, the midfielder will go straight into Olympiacos’ youth team and will try to break into the first team in the coming months.
Belic made three Premier League 2 appearances for West Ham last season and the youngster also played 7 times for the London club’s U18 team, scoring one goal.
With no real prospect of getting games with the Hammers this season, Belic will be hoping Olympicaos can give him opportunities.
The Greek giants have also signed Partizan’s promising defender Svetozar Markovic this summer and now they’ve further invested in their future by signing Belic.
