Dani Olmo left Barcelona and made a switch to Dinamo Zagreb in 2015 and and has been featuring regularly since the 2017/18 season.
In November 2018, we carried a report from Sport, who explained the La Liga winners and Manchester United are interested in the winger.
Monday’s edition of the same newspaper states the Spain U21 international’s performances for his club last season in the league (eight goals + three assists) and the Europa League (two goals and four assists) has attracted interest from Ernesto Valverde’s side and other clubs.
He has further gone on to impress for La Rojita at the U21 European championship that is currently ongoing in Italy and San Marino.
The 21-year-old has expressed his desire to leave Dinamo in the summer transfer window.
His employer has already rejected several offers for him, but there is no mention about the details of the proposals tabled for Olmo. The Catalan outlet claims his transfer could be negotiated for a fee of €25-30m.
Barcelona, for their part, have maintained regular contacts with Olmo’s agent. However, the problem for them is the competition they face. His performance at the U21 championship is only drawing more attention.
Next week, a meeting is scheduled between the Blaugrana and Olmo’s representative. The asking price of the transfer and the salary demands of the player are not beyond the reach of Barcelona.
However, the attacker is only worried about his position in the squad, especially when Valverde has the services of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembélé.
The competition could further increase by the potential arrival of either Neymar or Antoine Griezmann and this would only make it difficult for Olmo to feature regularly, if he returns to the Camp Nou.
