According to a claim in the Norwegian media, Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Mathias Normann is on the verge of leaving the Premier League club.
The 22 year old joined the Seagulls last year but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.
Tv2.no report Normann looks set to say his ‘goodbyes’ to his Brighton teammates following reports he’s on the verge of joining Rostov. It’s not reported if the youngster will be heading to Russia on a loan or permanent deal, but his move should be announced shortly.
Normann signed for Brighton from FK Bodø/Glimt during the 2017 summer transfer window but the Norway U21 international was instantly loaned out to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde.
His loan move was extended in the summer but with the Norwegian league now closed until later in the year, Normann returned to his parent club.
With no prospect of getting games for the south coast club it seems the player has taken the decision to seek first team football elsewhere.
