Earlier today we covered a report from Spain which explained Leicester City had given Vicente Iborra permission to travel back to his home country to try and sort out his end of a transfer.
Linked to a handful of La Liga clubs over the past few weeks, it’s Villarreal who were presented as being in serious talks with the Foxes, with it thought they were more able to please the Premier League club financially.
Now Villarreal’s local newspaper El Periodico Mediterraneo reports that Iboraa is ‘one step away’ from joining the club.
Iborra would initially arrive at Villarreal on a loan deal for the rest of this campaign, with the option to make that permanent during the summer window.
The transfer is said to be ‘almost finalised’ and it’s even stated Iborra could play for his new club at the weekend against Eibar.
