Once a regular member of the first-team despite his young age, Nabil Bentaleb suffered a very frustrating season in 2015-16, with injuries hindering his chances of making it in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The defensive midfielder suffered an ankle injury early on, and long recuperation followed by a knee operation meant the youngster was limited to only 11 appearances and one assist over the course of the season.
The emergence of Eric Dier in his position and Mousa Dembélé’s great performances in Pochettino’s 4-2-3-1 suggest the player will only be part of the rotation system next year, which could lead him to look elsewhere.
While the website aren’t clear over whether the offer will come in the form of a permanent transfer or a loan, one thing they are sure of is Nabil Bentaleb’s future is edging ever so slowly away from White Hart Lane.
