Friday’s edition of A Bola has a short article on the Liverpool and Napoli battle for Héctor Herrera, who is said to be “the big protagonist of the market”, with a bit of exaggeration from the Portuguese paper.

Their story says that Liverpool’s interest are making Napoli worried about missing out on the signing, as the Reds “seem very disposed” to buy the Mexican player.

But A Bola don’t give any details on Liverpool’s approaches, talks or bids for the 26-year-old, as if there was a silent race for him, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

The English club were linked to the player in the past and their name has been dragged through all the Herrera news since then.

This competition reportedly makes Porto sure that they will get the €25m they want for the player, as Napoli continue to be the most likely destination for him.

It looks like Liverpool’s good name is being used to aid Porto.
