A week ago, we relayed news from Italy that Chelsea’s efforts in signing Miralem Pjanic were turned down by the player and Juventus.
Calciomercato in today’s report also mentions the midfielder rejected the approach from the Blues, while they claim that Manchester City were interested in the 28-year-old, and their final offer was ‘not beyond’ €80m.
The Bosnian international changed his agent in July and is managed by Fali Ramadani. The latter wanted to take his client to a new club and it’s claimed there were offers from both Chelsea and Manchester City, but the ex-AS Roma man decided to continue with his current employer.
Pep Guardiola’s side and Barcelona are the two clubs advised, by the agent, about the possibility of signing Pjanic in 2019, but the Old Lady have no plans to sanction the sale of their player.
Now it is down to Massimo Allegri’s side to convince their player and agent in order to see the midfielder sign an extension, rather than allowing him to move elsewhere.
This all seems very much like an agent fishing, either for a big move or a better contract.
