Italian website Calcio Mercato comes up with one of their mysteriously short transfer stories today. This time they link the Brighton & Hovie Albion midfielder Davy Propper to a Liga Liga move.

According to their two-line report, Spanish side Sevilla have the 27-year-old ‘on their radar’. The headline mentions ‘offers from Spain’, but that’s not repeated in the text.

And that’s all they have to say.

Calcio Mercato have daily exclusives, which is not the case here, as they don’t point it out. But they don’t credit the news to another source either. And it gets even stranger to see that Propper hasn’t been linked to Sevilla lately.

Signed from Dutch side PSV on a €13m move in 2017, Propper quickly became one of the main pieces in Brighton’s midfield. He has also started all of the Seagulls’ Premier League games this season, which means the club shouldn’t let him go so easily.

His contract runs until 2021.
