Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has spoken to the Colombian media about his relationship with Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard.
The Rangers player is currently away with the Colombia national team as they prepare to face Venezuela and Argentina.
Speaking to AS, Morelos was asked about Gerrard: “I’m happy with a coach who is giving me the opportunity to play. I am growing a lot as a player and a person, it is motivating because he’s given me a lot of confidence and is very aware of me.”
Morelos recently signed a contract with Rangers which will keep him at Ibrox until June 2022. His commitment to the Glasgow club comes after speculation in the last transfer window he could leave, with Chinese and Turkish sides said to be interested in him.
The South American will be crucial to Gerrard this season, a major scoring threat for Rangers. Moreles has already scored six goals in thirteen games in this campaign.
His performances for Rangers this season have earned him a call-up to his national team and he could be line to make his senior debut for his country.
