Dinamo Zagreb manager Zlatko Kranjcar has confirmed that Eduardo is joining Chelsea this month.

The goalkeeper was strongly linked to Sporting earlier this month, but the Blues ended up making a much better offer which convinced him to move to London. Even being a thrid choice goalkeeper in England can pay relatively very well.

When asked if the player is leaving, Kranjcar said: “I think so… the situation is such that he goes, let him have all the luck at the big club. Eduardo has been given the honour of going to such a big club like Chelsea.” (via 24Sata)

The 33-year-old has been playing in Croatia for two seasons and now is expected to be a backup for Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begović.

With 35 appearances for the Portuguese national team, the goalkeeper was part of the squad who won the Euros this year.

24Sata reckon it’s all pretty much confirmed now. From Euro 2016 medal winning, to Chelsea and a big pay cheque, can’t be bad.
