Spanish newspaper Marca report in their Tuesday edition that Pau Lopez’s future is still very much in the air.
It’s not that Espanyol want to sell Pau, but they’d like to know either way. The end of the window is close and if Pau is to go then that leaves a gap which will need filling.
The player himself hasn’t ruled out a transfer according to Marca, and everyone is waiting around for Tottenham’s next move. Mauriccio Pochettino, formerly Espanyol manager, is behind the interest, and that makes Marca think a fresh approach is likely.
Tottenham’s first offer was in the region of €2m, and Espanyol are looking at something more like €5m for the 21 year old. Espanyol will feel well within their rights, especially after Pau was called up to senior Spain squad earlier this year.
