Former Italian striker turned pundit Antonio Cassano has praised West Ham United, ahead of their clash with Fiorentina in the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

The Italian has been speaking to Bobo TV about the Serie A side and their upcoming clash with West Ham in the European final on June 7th.

Fiorentina head into that clash as slight underdogs, at least on paper, with David Moyes’s side fancied courtesy of the money that’s been spent on it.

They’ve also impressed in Europe this season, where they’ve beat the likes of AZ Alkmaar, Gent, and Anderlecht on their run to the final.

It means the clash in the Fortuna Arena in Prague should prove to be an interesting affair, to say the least, with the Italian side also enjoying a good run to the final and even recently running Champions League finalists Inter Milan close in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday.

Cassano is certainly predicting a tight game, praising West Ham and warning Fiorentina what to be aware of ahead of the game.

“Fiorentina have a 50/50 chance of winning the Conference League,” he said.

“It’s true that West Ham have had difficulties in the league however they have 3/4 very very strong players.

“Rice in midfield is a tank, Benrahma up front is one who makes the play, Michail Antonio has broken the goalscoring record in the history of the club surpassing Di Canio, they also have Lanzini.

“They are an English team that have a very high tempo, they want to go one-on-one, it is normal that Fiorentina will try to play but they will go on a physical clash, they don’t play very well.

“If they were to win in Florence they would celebrate for six months, it is a place that deserves it. 50% chance, West Ham from midfield up have quality, in defence Ogbonna also plays.”
