On Thursday, it was reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers had submitted an offer for the signing of Pablo Sarabia from Paris Saint Germain.
A story from AS didn’t say how much Wolves had put on the table, but made it clear that ‘very few’ clubs could compete against those numbers.
Now it turns out that things apparently moved very quickly, because according to reports from the French media, Sarabia is on his way to sign for the Molineux side.
Foot Mercato write that the player will join Wolves and his medical is scheduled for ‘this weekend’.
According to the outlet, PSG are selling him for a total amount of €7m, that being €5m up front and €2m in bonuses.
That’s said to be a ‘modest sum’, considering how much the French club had spent to sign him, but still attractive given that they will save what they would spend on his salary until the end of his contract.
Sarabia leaves PSG after 98 appearances. This season, however, he has been getting little playing time at the club, with only 626 minutes on the pitch.
