Friday has been quite heavy on stories surrounding the future of Facundo Pellistri, who is a very wanted man for the second half of the season.

Making his debut for Manchester United in the 3-0 win over Charlton, the winger managed to pick up an assist in his six minute cameo, and that, alongside the fact he’s already a regular with the Uruguay national team, caught the eye of a few clubs.

Bologna in Serie A are one of them, and Corriere dello Sport reveal a bit more about the Italian side’s interest in the Red Devils starlet.

They talk about the mentions of Bologna in English reports before bringing information of their own by revealing that ‘yes, [Giovanni] Sartori and [Marco] Di Vaio have already spoken to both Pellistri’s agent and Manchester United’s chiefs’.

What attracts them is that Pellistri has a Spanish passport, meaning he wouldn’t count as a non-EU player, and the Serie A side ‘would be ready to take over with the formula of the loan with the right of redemption’.

First, however, ‘one of Emanuel Vignato and Nicola Sansone’ must leave Bologna before the move can be pulled off.

Still, they will face a lot of reluctance from Manchester United, as it’s been said that Erik ten Hag is counting on the player going forward, and the Red Devils aren’t overly keen on the idea of letting him leave, especially if there’s a chance he won’t come back.

It could all come down to the agents, who could end up pushing for an exit if they don’t get assurances from the Premier League side that their client will get minutes in the second half of the season.
