Crystal Palace, Wolves and West Ham have ditched the idea of signing Aaron Ramsey this summer, reports Il Bianconero.

The Juventus player has repeatedly been linked with a return to the Premier League, since he left Arsenal for Juventus on a free transfer. Ramsey had been content to continue with the Gunners, but then Arsenal withdrew their renewal offer and that allowed the Welshman to move to Turin as a free agent.

That move hasn’t been a complete disaster, however, Ramsey has again been hampered by injuries, and hasn’t been one of the club’s more prominent players.

Now there are reports in Italy that a move to AC Milan could be on the cards, and that would allow Ramsey to continue earning around the €7m a year, after tax, he currently does. The footballer took advantage of Italy’s Growth Decree, a tax scheme which allows workers to move to the country and pay a vastly reduced tax rate.

He wouldn’t be able to get that in England, and the wage issue is what has seen Crystal Palace, Wolves and West Ham move away from the former Arsenal man.

On top of that, should he leave Juventus, Ramsey is looking for a ‘high standard’, so a club with genuine trophy and European aspirations. Therefore, it’s thought Milan would be a better fit than Palace, Wolves or West Ham.
