Brighton & Hove Albion have turned their attention towards Fenerbahçe’s Ferdi Kadıoğlu, according to multiple claims from Turkey.
The 23-year-old has mainly operated as a right-back but has been used on the left side of defence and also in the two wing-back positions this season. He has three assists from 31 matches in all competitions.
His performances over the last year or so have attracted attention from European clubs. That’s according to Fanatik, who state Brighton are included in the list.
They explain the Seagulls have been following the Dutch-born Turkey international for a while.
Fanatik’s claim is backed up by En Son Haber, who provide more details on this case. Their title reads: ‘Brighton want Ferdi Kadıoğlu’.
Within the report, it’s said Roberto De Zerbi’s side have sent scouts to watch Kadıoğlu in action for the Istanbul club throughout the season and have prepared a detailed report on him.
If Brighton decide to sell Tariq Lamptey, they could make an approach for Kadıoğlu. The report adds Fenerbahçe’s ‘expectation’ is close to €20m to sanction the fullback’s sale in the summer.
