Earlier this month, Algeria’s Fennec Football reported Saïd Benrahma has made it clear he wants to stay at West Ham.
That hasn’t stopped Fenerbahçe from identifying the 28-year-old as a target for the winter market.
According to Takvim, the Turkish club want to sign the West Ham player on a loan deal with an option to buy.
The Yellow Canaries aren’t the only club chasing the winger as Lyon are also in the mix. In fact, the report says the Ligue 1 side are Fenerbahçe’s ‘important rival’ and are aiming to take him on loan.
It’s claimed both Fenerbahçe and the French club have started their attempts to sign the former Brentford man, and he is expected to make a decision ‘within a week’. This would suggest the Algeria international is open to leaving David Moyes’ side in January.
Benrahma has registered one assist from 19 appearances this season, which includes only four league starts. A move away from the Hammers could help him enjoy regular playing time.
Although Fenerbahçe want to include a purchase option, Takvim don’t specify the fee they are ready to offer West Ham.
