On Tuesday, we relayed in a very long article all the information that was being published in Italy’s main sport newspapers regarding Moise Kean and a possible return to Italy.
The general consensus was that the young forward may have burned bridges with Everton following his quarantine party, who would be interested in getting rid of him.
That is, of course, the Italian side of things, and the other angle was that a move to AS Roma would see the young forward be reunited with his best friend Nicolò Zaniolo.
There was hope the pair teaming up could be beneficial for the current Everton starlet, and that’s exactly what the father of the aforementioned Zaniolo thinks.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, he said: “Nicolò told me that Kean is a very good boy, regardless of his behaviour outside the pitch. He will have to hold back his exuberance a little. The boys are young, they want to do normal things, but they can’t because they are the centre of attention.
In fact, Zaniolo’s father would like them to be reunited not only because it would make his son happy, but also because he feels the Everton man could bring a lot to Paulo Fonseca’s side.
He continued: “Moise can play on the wing, by himself up front but also together with Edin [Džeko]. It would give Fonseca many options. He would be a top purchase, and with the right mindset, he can become one of the strongest.
“My son doesn’t want to take backwards steps and have what happened during the U21 Euros happen again. He has always done well, that moment is over and I hope he can help Moise move forward on his path”.
Since joining Everton on a £24m deal from Juventus in the summer, Kean managed just seven starts under both Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti, totalling 26 appearances overall, scoring one goal and assisting another two.
