Serie A side Lazio are eyeing up a move for Wolves midfielder Leander Dendoncker this summer and consider him an ‘ideal’ signing for manager Simone Inzaghi.

The Italians are keen to build this summer, as they look to assemble a squad capable of playing in the Champions League next season.

They are looking to improve in several areas, and chief among their wishes is to find a replacement for midfielder Lucas Leiva.

And at the top of their list, the player ‘they’re talking about’ is Wolves’ Dendoncker, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

They report that the club initially saw him as a replacement for midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić but now believe he is a ‘wild card’ who could fill in multiple slots in their midfielder.

That makes him ‘ideal’ for manager Inzaghi, and they are ready to push forward with an attempt to sign him.

It’s explained that Wolves have placed a ‘high’ asking price on their man, but, with the money made from qualifying for the Champions League, ‘anything is possible.’
