Despite what other websites would have you believe, Bobby Adekanye has not signed for Lazio… yet.
The 19-year-old, who is allegedly set on leaving Liverpool on a free, remains contracted to the Reds for the time being, but the Serie A side are ready to take matters into their own hands in the near future and get something sorted.
This is what Corriere dello Sport are reporting on Wednesday, stating Lazio’s director of football, Igli Tare, currently in Dublin on holiday, could fly to Liverpool to push the deal through, perhaps even in a bid to get it done for a January arrival.
As things stand, no contract has been signed, but the Italians’ interest isn’t new, having negotiated with the player’s agent as early as November, and the general consensus is this will get done very soon.
Despite having received other offers, Adekanye seems set on moving to Lazio, where an alleged five-year deal awaits him, and it’s just a matter of whether or not he’ll do so in January or when his deal expires in June.
