Kamil Grosicki has only two appearances for West Bromwich Albion this season and one since the end of September, which came in the Baggies’ league defeat to Newcastle United earlier this month.
On December 3rd, the Poland international admitted he will have to take ‘important decisions’ regarding his future in January.
Poland coach Jerzy Brzęczek then advised the winger to leave The Hawthorns in order to not miss out a place in the national team for the European championships.
Earlier in his career, the 32-year-old spent two seasons at Legia Warsaw, where he played alongside his compatriot, Jakub Wawrzyniak.
Legia Warsaw are leading the league table, but Wawrzyniak is of the belief his former club need to strengthen their attacking division and signing Grosicki would benefit both the West Brom player and the Polish champions.
Wawrzyniak gave an interview to Przegląd Sportowy and talked about Grosicki, when discussing the ‘problems’ at Legia Warsaw.
“I miss typical wingers. There is Paweł Wszołek who meets the criteria, but Luquinhas does not,” Wawrzyniak said during an interview with
“Strengthening this position should be a priority for the winter, although it is not easy, because I do not see anyone on the Polish market who shows the right skills to be a hit at Łazienkowska and become a reinforcement.
“The only player I can think of is Kamil Grosicki. If we could get him back now, it would be a brilliant move.
“And for Grosicki, who hardly plays in the Premier League, and who wants to go to Euros. This player in form is the number one winger of the Polish national team, so Legia would also gain a lot.”
Grosicki has had a new manager this month after West Brom sacked Slaven Bilić and appointed Sam Allardyce as his successor. It’s not clear whether or not the attacker is involved in the former England manager’s plans.
