According to a report in the Dutch media, PSV are concerned with Marco van Ginkel’s ‘persistent’ knee problems.
The Dutchman is currently on loan with PSV from Chelsea.
Voetbal international have reported on PSV’s concerns with Van Ginkel, as the Chelsea loanee has missed four games already in 2018.
It’s been revealed the Netherlands intentional is still able to train with the Dutch side, but the issue is getting the player on the pitch, after missing recent games against Heracles Almelo, Excelsior, Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord.
PSV will this week closely examine Van Ginkel’s knee injury in the hope they can get to the bottom of why he’s continuing to struggle.
This will also come as a concern to his parent club Chelsea, as his knee problems can have an impact on what they decide to do with the central midfielder in the summer.
The 25 year old joined Chelsea in 2013 and has a contract until 2020, but he’s played just two Premier League games for the London club since arriving from Vitesse. It seems Van Ginkel isn’t in the plans of Antonio Conte, but they could struggle of offload the player if his injury problems continue.
