Pescara are the latest club to join the race to sign Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti, according to claims in the Italian media. The 23-year-old has just six months left on his contract with the Serie B side, and has also been linked with Leeds United and Crotone in recent months.
Pescara manager Massimo Oddo will be keen to strengthen in the next window to consolidate their place in Serie A, and it seems they are serious about the two forwards. Pesacara president Dauphin Sebastiani travelled to Frosinone to watch their game with Ternana in order to get a lowdown on them.
Avenatti was linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer, with claims they made an approach for the attacker. With the uncertainty over the Avenatti’s future at Teranna, Leeds United could look to take advantage and speak to the player about a pre-contract agreement in January, he would a good addition to Garry Monk’s squad.
However, given the Elland Road club have competition from Serie A they would need to act quickly. Avenatti has impressed in front of goal this season so the Leeds United target is likely to get plenty of attention from other clubs in the summer.
