According to Greek website Sdna, Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t be training at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium ahead of tomorrow’s Europa League encounter against Olympiacos.
After the Greek club’s owner Evangelis Marinakis confirmed he’s tested positive for Coronavirus, the Premier League side asked UEFA to postpone the game, but last night it was confirmed the match will be played.
As announced by Olympiacos, it’s reported Wolves’ pre-match press conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will not train on Greek soil.
Yesterday, we covered reports from Greece that the Olympiacos camp expect the game to go ahead and that they are preparing normally for tomorrow’s first leg tie.
This will probably come as a blow to Wolves following the club’s official statement that they had a case for a postponement. The English side said the trip poses unnecessary risks to their players, staff, supporters and the families who travel, during such critical and uncertain times.
