Just a couple of days ago, we covered a story in Germany about Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest in Hugo Ekitike, who so happens to also be on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ agenda.

The striker has been pushed to one side at Paris Saint-Germain, and wants to leave to get some minutes under his belt.

Wolves did allow Sasa Kalajdzic to leave on loan to Eintracht, of all teams, but the German side want another forward, with Ekitike on their list, as recalled by Fussball News.

The line a couple of days ago was that the Bundesliga side would be unable to sign the Frenchman unless he were to take a big pay cut, and, unfortunately for the Molineux side, he is.

That’s what the German website report as an exclusive on Monday, who claim that any deal for Ekitike and Eintracht ‘should not fail due to the issue of earnings’.

This is because the young forward is ‘ready to forego a lot of money’ to get a move away, and ‘wants to gain match practice’.

As things stand, the idea of a move to Eintracht ‘certainly appeals to him’, with talks between the parties reportedly ‘going very positively’.

That means Wolves may have to get their act together quickly if they want to strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain, and we know money won’t be as much of an issue for the Premier League club as it would be for their Bundesliga counterparts.
