Rumours around Rogerio, specifically relating to Wolves, have been growing in the Italian media over the past few days, with other Premier League clubs also being brought into the picture.
Earlier on Wednesday we covered a story from Gazzetta dello Sport, who brought Arsenal and Newcastle United into the mix, and now Tuttosport do the same with Chelsea.
The Turin newspaper say it’s a tussle between Chelsea and Wolves, with Newcastle again having a supporting act mention, for the Juventus owned fullback, and the Premier League new-boys ‘rely’ on Jorge Mendes to help them win the battle.
Rogerio isn’t a Gestifute player, but Mendes has very good relations with Juventus at the moment, largely thanks to a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.
The player is said to be valued at around €20m, and any transfer would need Sassuolo’s approval, given that’s where he’s on loan for the season.
Therefore, this may be one to kick into the long grass for Wolves’ summer market.
With Jonny set to return to Atletico Madrid, setting up potential left back deals seems a good idea.
