Tuesday saw the rebirth of big Andre Silva to Wolves claims.
Calciomercato reported Jorge Mendes has ‘clear ideas’ about the player’s future and planned a meeting with AC Milan.
Silva has no intention of sitting on the bench for much of next season, wanting to make sure he reaches his best form and stays at that level, so a loan exit was considered a possibility.
Milan would likely prefer a permanent sale but they’re going to find it hard to locate a club willing to pay the €30m+ (with TMW today suggesting it could go as high as €45m) they’d require.
Wolves were named as one of three clubs ready to go in for the kill, along with other Mendes linked sides Valencia and AS Monaco.
Tuttomercatoweb report on Wednesday that a Silva transfer is now even likelier, with Gonzalo Higuain on the verge of becoming a Milan player.
Wolves, described as ‘traditionally close to Jorge Mendes’ are said to be ‘on’ him, the only club named in these particular claims.
It may be worth considering Valencia more likely, especially if they can’t find a deal to get Goncalo Guedes back from PSG, and if they manage to find a suitable home for Simone Zaza.
