Several La Liga sides have lined up to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rafa Mir after this season.
The Wolves owned player is currently on loan at SD Huesca, where he has impressed this campaign. He has 15 goals to his name in 32 matches in all competitions and it includes 12 goals in the league.
Earlier this month, the 23-year-old admitted he will hold talks with the Premier League side in the summer to decide his future.
Thursday’s edition of AS explains the Spaniard’s form for Huesca has ‘attracted attention of several La Liga teams’, with Atlético Madrid ‘one of the most interested’ clubs.
Los Rojiblancos host Huesca at Wanda Metropolitano later today and the newspaper states Mir ‘passes an exam’ even prior to the clash against Atlético.
It’s claimed Diego Simeone and Andrea Berta, the Madrid club’s director, will get to take a closer look at the frontman when the two sides meet on Thursday. This will give them an opportunity to evaluate his signing for €15m in the summer.
AS state: ‘Huesca wasted last summer a purchase option of 10 million euros, but they did take a percentage of the player in the event of sale, which is around 25 percent.’
Mir’s contract with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side lasts until 2022 and with several clubs chasing him, Wolves could look to cash in from his sale in the next market.
