Following the confirmation of Roman Saiss’ departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers, it seems the defender is close to having a new club to play for.
According to France Football journalist Nabil Djellit, the 32-year-old should now join Turkish side Besiktas.
It’s claimed that the parties are ‘close to finding an agreement’ for a three-year contract, as with the end of his deal with Wolves, he’s moving as a free agent.
Djellit claims there have been ‘many requests’ for Saiss, pointing out this is a ‘great move’ from Besiktas to land him now.
Saiss joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a €4m move from French side Angers back in 2016.
In his six years at Molineux, he made 206 appearances, and continued being an important player until his final season for the club.
At the end of the last month, he announced his departure from Wolves in an Instagram post, and Bruno Lage should now look for a replacement in the summer window.
