Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined Sevilla and Napoli in the race to sign AZ Alkmaar’s Oussama Idrissi, according to El Desmarque.
The 24-year-old has become one of the favourite targets for Sevilla sporting director Monchi.
He’s liked a lot by the Europa League winners, and sources close to the winger’s environment state Julen Lopetegui’s side could have advanced the operation.
However, the deal isn’t closed yet and there are other clubs interested in the Dutch-born Morocco international.
This is when Wolves and Napoli interest gets a mention, and with regards to the Wanderers, the report adds the Premier League club ‘would have offered €16m’ to sign the player.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side lost Diogo Jota to Liverpool earlier this month, and haven’t brought in a replacement for the Portuguese forward, who mainly operated on the left side of attack.
Idrissi also prefers to play on the left wing and his potential signing could see him take Jota’s place at Molineux. He finished last season with 17 goals and 10 assists in all competitions with AZ.
