In one of the few stories where newspaper Record tries to talk about football today, they report the bad form which Leo Bonatini has been having at Vitória Guimarães.
Loaned by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of the season, the Brazilian even had a decent start at the Portuguese club, with six goals scored in the first part of the campaign.
But as pointed out by the story today, it’s now been over three months since he last scored a goal, which happened in a cup game back on the 21st of December.
That’s why Bonatini has been losing his place in the team, having been left on the bench lately as his compatriot Bruno Duarte has been getting most of the starts.
Record points out that Vitória Guimarães have the option to make Bonatini’s deal permanent at the end of the season, but this transfer will be unlikely in case he keeps this form until then.
The Brazilian’s contract with Wolves runs until 2022.
Record doesn’t say this time how much Vitória would have to pay to get him permanently, but reports from the time of the loan claimed it’s a fee of around €3.5m.
