Wolverhampton Wanderers may be given an easy shot at Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia this summer, with the Italian side very much keen to get rid of him.
Labaro Viola cover the player today and how he’s now been removed from Salernitana’s squad ‘for an indefinite period’.
They explain that the club have decided to leave him out of the squad and his season ‘could have ended prematurely’.
The Italian side have run out of patience with the striker, who tried to force an exit from the club last summer when Wolves made a late move for him.
They offered a loan deal at the end of the summer transfer window, but the deal was criticised publicly by former sporting director Morgan De Sanctis who, alongside the club, had been sent ‘into a rage’ by the proposal.
Dia rebuilt his relationship with the club after that point, but it’s all come crumbling down once again and he’s now out of the squad for an indefinite period of time.
In fact, a departure in the summer ‘is a given’, even if his value has decreased considerably at this point given his attitude and performances.
Another loan bid from Wolves would actually be welcomed, although the question is whether they’d want to bother given the way he’s been acting since the summer.
That said, he didn’t really want to play for them and a loan could be an ideal way to check him out.
