Wolverhampton Wanderers will send a scout to Trabzon on the 29th of September to watch Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, just a week after the youngster was linked with Juventus and Liverpool, report Ajansspor.
We recently covered reports from the Turkish press last week that Juve and the Reds are keen on the 23 year old, and now it seems Wolves are in the race for the highly rated keeper.
Its reported Wolves are monitoring the situation with Cakir, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the Super Lig club.
Wolves appear to be in the market for a young backup keeper to Rui Patricio, given there’s been reports this week they’re also interested in Caykur Rizespor goalkeeper Gokhan Akkan. There was a claim in the Turkish media they will watch the 24 year old the same weekend they monitor Cakir.
Karadeniz Gazete have also backed up Wolves’ interest in Cakir but they say German side FC Schalke are also in the mix for the Trabzonspor player.
