There are two reasons why André Silva is getting attention from the football media.

The first one is that he’s finally getting goalscoring form, having found the net for the first time in the Italian league a week ago, and now doing it again against Chievo Verona on Sunday.

And there’s also the fact that his name is back in the rumour mill, as several clubs would be interested in taking him from Milan in the summer transfer window.

Calcio Mercato only picks two English clubs. They claim that Arsenal and Wolves are the clubs keen on him.

They claim Wolves’ interest is ‘above all’, so the Championship side would be clearly leading the race, even though the Gunners’ pursuit is not anything new.

Wolves’ links with Andre Silva have been dragged out since the end of last year. Even though it didn’t seem very realistic at first, the fact that the striker has struggled in Italy and that Wolves should be promoted to the Premier League makes it pretty believable.

But Milan paid €38m to sign Silva from Porto last summer, so they will certainly want a decent compensation to let the 22-year-old go.

There were recent claims from Portugal that Jorge Mendes had ‘reminded’ Milan of Wolves’ interest the player, Arsenal weren’t mentioned. At that time it was made clear a Milan stay, as long as Silva is getting games, is the priority.
