Greek website Sdna reports Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to return with another bid to sign Olympiacos attacker Daniel Podence.
The Portuguese winger has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League club in the past week, but despite earlier reports suggesting a deal was close, he still remains with the Greek side.
Podence was reportedly set for a medical last weekend but he remained in Greece.
Olympiacos’ Head of Communications Nikos Gavalas admitted yesterday that the deal was ‘stuck’ but Sdna expect Wolves to make another attempt to sign 24 year old before Friday’s deadline.
Sdna believe the player will ‘eventually’ join Wolves, and Olympiacos are already in the market for a replacement, with Benfica’s Andrija Zivkovic said to be one of the names they are currently looking at.
Podence hasn’t featured for the past two games which could indicate Wolves still have a chance of signing him before the transfer window closes.
