Wolverhampton Wanderers are one of the clubs interested in signing Corinthians youngster Robert Renan, according to claims from Brazil.
Journalist Jorge Nicola says the player’s agent, Eduardo Bou Daye, has been in England in the past few days receiving building contacts with a few clubs.
Wolves are one of those who got in touch, along with Borussia Dortmund and officials from the City Group.
Even though no official bids have been made yet, it’s claimed that the representative ‘should bring in the coming days’ some offers to Corinthians. The amounts are expected to be around €10m or €11m.
According to Nicola, European attention on Robert Renan has been so big that the player has been approached by the Stellar Group, who want to represent him.
The player has only made two appearances made for Corinthians’ first team, so Wolves’ interest must have come from his performances with the club and the national team youth ranks. He’s been highly praised by Timão manager Vitor Pereira, who this week claimed the defender has a bright future ahead.
