Enzo Crivelli had seemed close to signing for Caen, report L’Equipe in their Wednesday edition, but the transfer is being held up because of interest from elsewhere.
Bordeaux report an English club have moved in and are trying to disrupt things, and clearly having at least some degree of success.
There are two English clubs named, Wolves and Aston Villa, along with Welsh side Cardiff City, and Caen will be hoping they disappear and allow them to get on with signing the Angers player.
Wolves or Aston Villa would easily be able to offer superior wages to what would be on offer at Caen, so if they return and the 22 year old striker is keen on the Championship then there’s not a lot the French club would be able to do.
Crivella has 17 appearances so far this season, and has managed to get just one goal and add another assists, they’re not exactly blockbuster statistics so perhaps Wolves and Aston Villa interest sees the youngster as one for the future.
