Turkiye claim Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are still interested in signing Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama, despite the player just returning from a serious injury.
The 26 year old picked up a knee injury in November whilst playing for his country DR Congo and only recently returned to training ahead of his come back next season.
Despite him not playing since last year, Turkiye say Wolves and Aston Villa are tracking the player and that the two West Midlands clubs could test Galatasaray’s resolve with a bid this summer.
It’s claimed Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim and the board are hoping to convince Luyindama to remain at the club as they look to tie him down to a new contract with a pay rise.
Gala paid €8m to Standard Liege to sign Luyindama last summer and the DR Congo defender has made 15 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Luyindama’s contract with the Turkish club will expire at the end of June 2022.
