Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady’s comments with regards to the Besiktas game have been covered by Turkish media, ahead of the Europa League tie on Thursday.

After their first Premier League win of the season against Watford on Saturday, Coady spoke about facing the Black Eagles and said he thinks going to Istanbul will be a hostile experience for his side.

Star have covered the comments made by the Wolves captain and they’ve the accused the English side of being ‘afraid’ of facing Besiktas.

The assumption is that Coady and his team are intimidated of playing in a hostile Turkish stadium. Star don’t believe they’re afraid of the Besiktas team, given how awful they’ve been so far this season.

The Super Lig side are currently in the relegation zone after six games and at the weekend they were hammered 4-1 by Trabzonspor.

Both clubs lost their first group game of the competition, putting extra pressure on either team to pick up three points.

Given Besiktas fans know how poor their team have been this season, they’ll want to live up to Coady’s expectations and give Wolves players something to remember.
