The name Erik Bugarin might not mean much to Wolverhampton Wanderers right now, but it could in the future, as the youngster is swapping Celta Vigo for Molineux this summer.
The news comes from Spanish journalist Victor Lopez on the radio show Ao Contrataque, relayed by El Desmarque, who explain that two youngsters from the La Liga side will be giving the Premier League a go next season.
Yago de Santiago is the other, and he will be heading to Tottenham.
This isn’t the first time Bugarin has been linked with a move to England, as Faro de Vigo reported that Middlesbrough were looking at him back in April.
The young forward had yet to sign a professional contract with Celta, meaning there might be a small fee for Wolves to pay because of FIFA’s development reward policy, but beyond that, it should be a relatively cheap affair.
We’ll have to wait and see how Bugarin develops at Wolves down the line, but if he fulfils his potential, then Nuno Espirito de Santo and the Premier League side will have saved themselves a lot of money in an area of the pitch where players don’t come cheap.
