Definitely seen as one for the future, Axel Disasi is attracting a lot of attention in France these days, and rightly so.
The Stade de Reims centre-back has caught the attention this season with his performances with the Ligue 1 side, and while clubs like Arsenal have been touted as potential landing spots, it’s Wolverhampton Wanderers who have made the first move.
This is according to L’Equipe on Thursday afternoon, who report Wolves have come forward with a €15m offer for the 22-year-old.
However, that doesn’t mean a deal will automatically get done, as Reims have yet to accept it and the player’s entourage are asking for wages ‘so high’, they could ‘cool a few interested parties, even those most fortunate’ finance wise.
Disasi only has one year left on his contract, meaning this is the last time the Ligue 1 club can make money off their starlet without him renewing, and L’Equipe say the club are ‘each day readying themselves to losing their player a little more’.
Whether that means he moves to Molineux and plays under Nuno Espírito Santo at Wolverhampton, however, isn’t a guarantee.
