Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Rui Patrício had a little chat with the Portuguese media this week.
The 32-year-old spoke to Sport TV, and sounded quite positive about how the Molineux side can improve for the rest of the season.
Despite a disappointing start which currently sees Wolves in 13th place in the Premier League table, Rui Patrício is certain that their recovery is on the way.
“I’m convinced that we will improve in the second round. We have much more quality than what we did in the first half,” Rui Patrício told Sport TV (via O Jogo).
Patrício also had something to say about Fábio Silva, who joined Wolves in a €40m deal from Porto last summer. He explained the teenager is still gaining experience and should have a bright future ahead.
“He’s improved a lot, we’re talking about an 18-year-old kid, he’s been playing games, which is very good for growing and learning. Undoubtedly, he’ll be better with time.
“He has all the qualities to be a at the top, he has to keep working, listen to everyone’s advice. Without a doubt, I believe he’ll be at the top. It’s also very important to do what he’s done and work to learn and grow.”
Wolverhampton are on their way to London to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side then have a couple of tougher challenges ahead, as they first host Arsenal at Molineux on Tuesday and then receive Leicester City.
