It’s impressive how Rafael Camacho continues to have strong ties with Liverpool, despite having left the Reds almost a year ago.

The Portuguese press often brings stories in which they explain the player continues to be in touch with people from his old club, and even claim that Jurgen Klopp follows his development at Sporting.

Camacho has been interviewed by local outlet Tribuna Expresso this week. The chat is part of a series where they only send eight questions via Whatsapp, since they can’t meet the player due to the Coronavirus restrictions.

One of the questions was exactly about Liverpool, asking Camacho if he’s still been in touch with his former teammates. And he claims he’s actually been getting some advice from them.

I’ve spoken to some of the youngsters from Liverpool, but also with others from the first team, mainly those who speak Portuguese, like Fabinho, Firmino, Allison,” Camacho told Tribuna Expresso. “But also with Sadio Mané. They’ve given me advice, because they’ve seen some of my games at Sporting.”

On what’s he’s been doing to have some fun, Camacho claims it’s all about video games.

“Yes, we must have a lot of fun, especially me, who is young. I’ve had time to play PlayStation and beyond. Sometimes, I play Fortnite online, with my cousins, and NBA, with some of my teammates. Obviously, I always win (laughs).”

Despite having more playing time at Sporting than he did at Liverpool, Camacho only has one goal and one assist in 20 appearances this season.
