Probably tired of writing stories linking Gareth Bale to Manchester United, our “friends” at Don Balon now have some big news about Cristiano Ronaldo and the Old Trafford club.
The script remains the same. Real Madrid are said to be having trouble giving a pay raise to the Portuguese star, and the Red Devils could solve that.
Manchester United’s offer would be pretty simple, they’re ‘willing to do anything’, will shake the transfer world. They pay Real Madrid €75m, send them Paul Pogba, and get Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s what Don Balon considers to be a deal worth €175m.
The story bait used by Don Balon this time is Alexis Sanchez. They claim he could be replaced by a Real Madrid star, who would steal his shirt number as well.
As a native Spanish speaker, Sanchez would have no problem understanding the rumour. We just wonder if he’s familiar with Don Balon’s reputation, so he wouldn’t get too concerned about it.
