The agent of reported Galatasaray target Cheickhou Kouyate, Ediz Balkan, has spoken to Fanatik about his client and confirmed they are receiving offers for the Crystal Palace midfielder.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Gala manager Faith Terim is keen to bolster his squad by signing the 31=year-old this summer, as he’s particularly impressed with his versatility. Last season he played in central defence on numerous occasions due to injuries.
It was also reported the Super Lig side are expected to make an approach for the player.
Speaking to Fanatik, Balkan said they haven’t reached an agreement with any club at the moment but he added his client is happy with the interest being shown in him: “I’ve had a few calls from Turkish clubs but I can say that we haven’t reached any agreement with any club. We are looking to find the best alternative for Kouyate.
“He is happy with the interest. We’ve got offers from the Middle East and China but I’d love Kouyate to come to Turkey.”
The former West Ham United player made 36 appearances in the Premier League last season.
Kouyate still has another year left on his current Crystal Palace contract but a move away from Selhurst Park could be a possibility this summer.
