During West Ham’s Christmas visist to the Newham Hospital this week, ESPN Brasil recorded a nice story and took the chance to make an interview with club star Felipe Anderson.

The €38m signing who moved from Lazio last summer has been impressive in his first months at the club, scoring five goals in the last six Premier League fixtures, even though he’s never been much of a goalscorer.

Now Felipe Anderson has revealed that it’s his family who insists on asking for more goals and encourages him to shoot more.

“They always ask for a goal, ‘you have to score’, so I’m happy now to be shooting more and the ball going in. So I’m happy and I have to continue,” Felipe Anderson told João Castelo Branco from ESPN.

Asked about what was his most beautiful goal for the Hammers, the midfielder has picked his beauty against Crystal Palace from last Saturday.

“The last one was pretty good. When I got the ball I felt it was going to be a good shot. So the last one was the most beautiful so far.”

Despite being a regular starter, Felipe Anderson has commented on the fact that he’s frequently subbed out, and has claimed that he’s working on his physical condition so he can endure a full match.

“I’ve been working now so I can always play the 90 minutes with high rhythm, because at the beginning it was a bit difficult to adapt. But now I’m almost 100% with the athletic form already, in the sense of being able to withstand the intensity of the Premier League. And now the goal is coming at the end of the game, so I think I’m doing a good job.”
