According to claims in the Italian media, West Ham United are the latest club to show an interest in Spezia attacker Samuele Mulattieri.
In the past couple of days the 17 year old has been linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Everton and his contract situation with the Serie B side could lead to a scramble to sign the youngster this summer.
Il Secolo XIX report, via Calciomercato, that West Ham have joined the race to sign Mulattieri, but face competition from Everton, Inter Milan and Juventus.
The Italian forward has yet to sign a professional contract with Spezia, which could lead to any of the four clubs signing him on a free transfer, with only training compensation to pay.
As we reported earlier this week, Mulattieri has been impressing for Spezia’s youth team, scoring 13 goals in 19 games last season.
This has brought him to the attention of Everton and West Ham, but the Premier League clubs will need to convince the attacker to leave Italy given Inter Milan and Juventus interest.
