Lazio’s interest in Enner Valencia is no longer a small rumour in Italy. After Corriere Dello Sport and La Repubblica, it’s now Gazzetta Dello Sport who are reporting it.
The newspaper says the negotiations are on the “right path” as Lazio believe they have the right conditions to sign the Ecuador international.
The Italian club would pay West Ham a €2.5m loan fee, and they also want to agree a €12m buying option after the spell ends.
This would be a signing for their new boss Marcelo Bielsa, who’d be looking forward to make a strong team for the next season with a list of players who are also mentioned in Gazzetta’s article.
The problem is that Marcelo Bielsa has resigned from the job this morning, only two days after being officially appointed. Rumorus from Argentina say he’s taking charge of the national team.
Now it’s hard to know if the Lazio board would still be interested in the West Ham player, as they now will have to look for another manager for the club.
