According to a claim in the Turkish media the agent of Sofiane Feghouli has yet to be paid his fee for taking the attacker from West Ham United to Galatasaray in 2017.
The Algerian international signed for the Turkish champions for €4.5m, following a forgettable spell with the Hammers.
Milliyet today report on the latest developments with regards to Habib Antar not being paid his fee when his client left West Ham for Galatasaray. It’s reported during the talks Feghouli convinced Antar to lower his demands, so he could force a move away from the Premier League side.
It’s claimed Antar finally agreed to a fee in the region of €1.9m, but after previous reports he instantly received this when the transfer was completed it now transpires he’s still not been paid by the Istanbul club.
This has reportedly caused a ‘crisis’ at Galatasaray as they want to offload the player but can’t because they still owe money to his agent. The Super Lig side this summer were hit with a massive fine by UEFA due to FFP implications.
This now leaves Feghouli’s future with the club in limbo as he isn’t seen as being in the plans of Faith Terim but a move doesn’t seem possible in the next window unless the agent situation is resolved.
